In February, we gave a recital/discussion at Alfa Art Gallery in New Brunswick, NJ. The concert featured a combination of guitar/voice and solo guitar music, as well as an onstage discussion of the music with J. Andrew Dickenson. The director of the gallery, Vesselin Kourtev, created a series of five paintings for the event, each inspired by one of the songs in the John Duarte song cycle Five Quiet Songs, which appears on our Quiet Songs CD. Photos of three of those wonderful paintings, taken while the paintings were in progress, are shown below.
